The short version
We collect what you type into our forms and some standard analytics about how you use the site. We use it to reply to you, run the work you hire us for, and measure our own advertising. We do not sell it. Email us and we will show you what we hold or delete it.
01Who we are
This policy explains how Ad-Lab handles personal information when you visit ad-lab.io, fill in a form, book a call, subscribe to our newsletter, or work with us as a client.
Ad-Lab is a Google and YouTube Ads agency for ecommerce brands, based in Dubai, UAE. For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your data, email patrick@ad-lab.io.
02Information you give us
You decide what to share. We ask for the minimum we need to reply to you and prepare for a call.
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, where you choose to give one.
- Your website or store URL.
- Details about your advertising, such as monthly budget, the platforms you run, and what you want to improve.
- Anything else you write into a form, an email, or a booking note.
03Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit.
- IP address, approximate location, browser, and device type.
- Pages you view, links you click, and how long you spend on the site.
- The page that referred you, and the campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, including UTM tags and advertising click identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by the analytics and advertising services we use.
04Information we access as your agency
When you hire us, you grant us access to advertising, analytics, and ecommerce accounts you already own so we can run and report on your campaigns. That data stays yours. We use it to do the work you hired us for and for nothing else, and access ends when the engagement ends.
05How we use information
- Reply to your enquiry and schedule a call.
- Prepare account audits, proposals, and reports.
- Deliver, support, and invoice the services you hire us for.
- Measure how our own marketing performs, and improve it.
- Send newsletters and updates you asked for, which you can stop at any time.
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Protect the website against fraud, spam, and abuse.
06Our legal basis for using it
Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, we rely on one of the following: your consent, which covers non-essential cookies and marketing email and which you can withdraw at any time; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interest in running, securing, and marketing the business; and compliance with a legal obligation.
09What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade contact details, and we do not pass your information to third parties for their own independent marketing.
10Where your information is processed
We operate from the UAE and use service providers located in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect data that moves across borders.
11How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Enquiry and booking records are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. After that we delete the data or anonymise it.
12Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. You can also opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
To exercise any of these, email patrick@ad-lab.io. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
13Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and vendors who maintain their own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and the people who run them. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
15Other websites
Our site links to other websites, including social platforms, review sites, and our newsletter. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing anything with them.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business, the law, or our tooling changes. The current version always sits on this page with the date it was last updated at the top. Where a change matters, we will make that clear on the site.
17Contact us
Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy go to patrick@ad-lab.io, and we will come back to you.
